Rapito

Met Rapito vertelt Marco Bellocchio (IL TRADITORE, VINCERE) het roemruchte waargebeurde verhaal van Edgardo Mortara, wiens leven onlosmakelijk verbonden is met de Italiaanse eenwording. Zijn laatste jaren bracht hij door in BelgiÙ, bij het klooster Bouhay, waarna hij in 1940 stief en werd begraven in Luik. Bellocchio brengt het controversiÙle verhaal prachtig in beeld en mocht al meerdere prijzen voor de film in ontvangst nemen. RAPITO ging in 2023 in premiÞre op het Filmfestival van Cannes.
