• Emergent character creation is an alternative to the traditional “roll 3d6” character creation where the character’s abilities are only generated as they are used.
• At the start of the funnel, the players scratch off the boxes for the character’s genotype, lucky sign, and speed. Equipment and weapons can either also be revealed prior to the funnel or, alternately, judges could require the PCs to “find” their equipment and weapons as they go, only revealing the information as directed.
