N.E.W.S

N.E.W.S. is a music album by Dutch rock band Golden Earring, released in March 1984. The whole concept behind N.E.W.S. had many similarities with its predecessor Cut from 1982, which included Twilight Zone. In a witty mood, Barry Hay formed the English word "news" from the first letters of the cardinal directions (North, East, West, South). The single was When the Lady Smiles, with a music video that was a big hit. The director was Dick Maas, who had also made a video for Twilight Zone. Especially in America, the short film about a psychopath with unbridled sexual urges reduced the chances of new success.
