Bella Storia

On the occasion of their 40th anniversary, Statuto release their new album entitled Bella Storia. A double CD that includes the entire 40th anniversary celebration concert specially recorded on 28 January 2023 in Turin and 4 previously unreleased tracks recorded in the studio. The concert part includes 22 tracks, including all the best-known ones such as Abbiamo Vinto Il Festival di Sanremo, Qui non c'e il Mare, Ragazzo Ultra, Piera, In Fabbrica and all the others, played with the full band, i.e. the basic quartet plus wind section and keyboards. Statuto are a unique reality in the Italian music scene. With their consistent but never evolved mod style, with their immediacy and shamelessness in their committed and sometimes ironic lyrics, with a cyclically 'fashionable' music that started with ska and merged with soul and powerpop, they have proved to be totally original and unmistakable.
