Amos Hoffman bereichert die aktuelle Szene ethnischer Musik um das lebendig-progressives Album: Na'ama. Jeder der 12 Songs stammt aus der Feder des talentierten Komponist und Oud-Instrumentalisten. Er stellt sich dem Anspruch, die arabische Musiktradition fortzuführen, bereichert sie aber gleichermaßen um moderne Elemente wie Jazz, Latin und World-Music. Dazu setzt er auch Instrumente wie das Marimbaphon ein, das in traditioneller arabischer Musik eigentlich sehr selten Verwendung findet. Für den Israeli Amos Hoffmann steht diese Kombination verschiedener Instrumente und Stile dabei nicht für ein künstliches Cross-Over-Konzept. Vielmehr spiegelt sich in der Stil- Fusion seine bisherigen Lebenserfahrung als Musiker und Komponist mit Wurzeln in der jüdischen Ashkenazi-Tradition.
