The third Guild Wars campaign is the most sociable of all, in terms of other meeting other people in the massively multiplayer online world and getting help from new virtual heroes.

The lowdown:
Dubbed the worlds first co-operative online role-playing game (or competitive, depending on your temperament), Guild Wars manages to distinguish itself from the crowd by moving the focus away from constantly levelling up and focusing it squarely on combat between and against players. This third game in the series is set on the new continent of Elona and features two new classes of character to play as: the long range Paragon and the magical Dervish. Twenty new missions and hundreds of quests are included, in what is more than just an expansion pack even if its not quite a new game.

Most exciting moment:
The best new element of the game is certainly the new hero characters who you can recruit to join your cause. Unlike the previous nondescript henchmen these are fully customisable in terms of skills and equipment and you can even set them fighting against each other, in special hero vs. hero areas of the game.
