Children's action adventure following Detective Pikachu (voice of Ryan Reynolds) as he investigates his former partner's mysterious disappearance. While looking for his missing father in Ryme City, Tim Goodman (Justice Smith) stumbles upon Detective Pikachu, his dad's former partner, and discovers he is the only one who can hear him talk. The pair team up to solve the mystery, enlisting the help of aspiring reporter Lucy Stevens (Kathryn Newton) and her Psyduck, but they quickly find themselves investigating a larger conspiracy that threatens to jeopardise the harmonious relationship between humans and Pokémon.
