Cake (2015)

Jennifer Aniston, Anna Kendrick and Sam Worthington star in this drama from director Daniel Barnz. Claire Bennett (Aniston) is a victim of chronic pain who often has to resort to illegal measures to get the pills she needs to relieve her symptoms. As she struggles to deal with her own issues, pushing away the people who are trying to help her in the process, she becomes intrigued by the suicide of Nina Collins (Kendrick), a member of her support group who ended her life by jumping off a freeway overpass. When Claire starts to suffer from hallucinations of Nina she decides to get in touch with the woman's widowed husband Roy (Worthington). While developing a bond with Roy, Claire starts to make discoveries about Nina's suicide. The cast also includes Adriana Barraza, Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Mamie Gummer and Chris Messina.
