Close Encounters of the Third Kind: Director's Cut

Extended version of Steven Spielberg's Academy Award-winning sci-fi film. A spate of unprecedented UFO sightings and experiences occur around the world, affecting thousands of people, but the government insists nothing is going on. Blue collar worker Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss) experiences his own close encounter with an alien spacecraft when he is sent out to investigate a mysterious power outage in Indiana. He becomes obsessed with five musical notes and a strange mental image of a mountain, distancing himself from his wife Ronnie (Teri Garr) in the process. He also discovers that he is not alone in his experiences, and joins others as they are drawn to a site in Wyoming, where they witness a government-assisted alien landing.
