The Lady Eve - The Criterion Collection

Romantic comedy written and directed by Preston Sturges, starring Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck. Jean Harrington (Stanwyck) and her father Colonel Harry Harrington (Charles Coburn) are con artists who use subtle methods to steal from the rich and wealthy. On board the S.S. Southern Queen headed for New York, they have their sights set on the socially awkward Charles Pike (Fonda), who is heir to his father's brewery fortune. However, things go awry when Jean falls in love with Charles and is reluctant to follow through with the initial plan.
