Thriller starring Samuel L Jackson as Abel Turner, an LAPD officer whose prejudices come violently to the fore when a young newlywed interracial couple, Chris Mattson (Patrick Wilson) and Lisa Mattson (Kerry Washington), move in to the house next door to his in upmarket Californian suburb Lakeview Terrace. A strict and disapproving widowed father of two, Turner becomes obsessed with correcting what he percieves as the immorality of the couple, racial and otherwise, and his behaviour quickly descends from protective watchfulness into acts of harrassment verging on the psychotic.
