David Farrar stars as an intrepid reporter in this 1940s British crime drama. Fleet Street reporter Brooks (Farrar) is sent by his editor Ellington (John Stuart) to investigate a story involving a woman who is said to have witnessed a recent murder. But, unbeknownst to Ellington, his wife Margaret (Antoinette Cellier) is involved and she has also been having an affair with Paul Grayson (Anthony Hawtrey). With so much deception afoot, it is up to Brooks to solve the murder mystery.
