The Lindy Cat.6 HDBaseT Extender offers a powerful complete solution for extending the range of HDMI signals over long distances via Cat.6 network cable up to a distance of 150m. The following combinations of distance and resolution are possible when using a high-quality Cat.6 U/UTP or F/UTP cable: 150m (492.12ft) - 1280x720@60Hz via Long Reach Mode 100m (328.08ft) - 3840x2160@30Hz 4:4:4 8Bit 7Bit 0m 0m (229.66ft) - 3840x2160@60Hz 4:4:4 8Bit By supporting resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, videos can be played in great detail. The additional support of HDR (High Dynamic Range) allows you to display content with increased contrast and a much wider colour gamut. This provides a reliable solution for set-up of striking digital signage installations in retail, immersive displays at events or engaging setups in larger conference rooms or lecture halls. An HDMI loop-out port also offers the possibility to connect a local display to monitor video content, e.g. for security or close range installations in the living area, while simultaneously extending the signal to the receiver. Additional flexibility is provided by PoC (Power over Cable). This allows the power to be supplied together with the data over the Cat.6 network cable in a point-to-point connection between the transmitter and receiver, so that only a single power supply is required at the transmitter unit to power the entire system. Ideal if there are few sockets on the receiver side of the installation, for example. With bi-directional IR ports on both sides of the setup, the source device can be easily controlled from the display side, as well as the display can also be controlled from the HDMI source device side. In combination with the CEC control that allows commands from a main remote control, this expansion system allows complete and easy control of all components for the user. Terminal blocks allow passing through RS-232 commands when integrating the extender into control systems. HDBaseT is a globally recognized standard for high quality distribution of AV content and other signals as well as power and control over longer distances via cost-effective Cat.6 or higher cables. The use of a different cable type, the insertion of wall sockets, couplers or patch panels into the signal path leads to a reduction of possible distances. Please note: this product uses the DSC compression method to achieve 18G resolutions. If you use another 18G HDBaseT product in combination with this, please make sure both products support the same compression type.
