The new album from international griot and kora master Ablaye Cissoko! Almost three years after their first album and a hundred concerts around the world, Ablaye Cissoko is back with the talented Cyrille Brotto for a new masterly collaboration between kora, vocals and accordion. Entitled Djiyo (which means water), this album is like a river that unites the lands it flows through, harmoniously blending Mandingo and Occitan traditions. In this intimate and spiritual musical journey, the two virtuosos reinvent their relationship with their instrument, offering an enlightened conversation tinged with melancholy, a poetic and intense dialogue, and a magnificent lesson in music and humanism.
