St. Valentine's Massacre formed in the summer of 2005 out of the mutual love for music and the desire to create audible art with passion and power. Hidden away in back alley venues, the band sought to prove that they were worth their salt with every show they played. Their zealous nature earned them the respect of many, allowing them to play the larger scale venues with touring national acts such as 36 Crazyfists (Roadrunner), A Day To Remember (Victory), The Absence (Metal Blade), Phoenix Mourning (Metal Blade), Throwdown (Trustkill), It Dies Today (Trustkill) and more, while having a draw comparable and many times exceeding the draw of the signed bands, and amassing an army of loyal fans that quickly became known as The Condemned.

SVM has had their concerts showcased by 98 Rock (97.9 FM), airplay on 97x (97.1 FM), and has been interviewed by WECX Radio (99.9 FM, St. Petersburg) for a 2 hour feature spot, in addition to a multitude of other FM, college, and internet radio stations globally. In addition to which, they have recently won the Rock Solid Pressure industry showcase (Oct 2007), performing in front of several industry professionals, and record labels including Atlantic, Vagrant, Mercury, Nightmare and more.

In January of 2007 they were ranked #1 on Myspace's Florida's unsigned screamo bands as well as #5 on Florida's unsigned metal bands. In June of 2007 the song Eulogy broke over 10,000 plays in the first 72 hours of being posted, and the band has over half a million plays in total on myspace alone.
