Gu Deas

Een opwindend en langverwacht album van Gaelic zangeres Mairi MacMillan. Het album bevat prachtige traditionele Gaelic liederen voornamelijk uit South Uist met frisse hedendaagse arrangementen. Met een scala aan thema's en genres, waaronder liefdesliedjes, mythische liederen en luisterliedjes. Mairi MacMillan uit Milton in South Uist groeide op omringd met de Gaelic taal, cultuur, muziek en zang. Het album werd gearrangeerd en geproduceerd door de creatieve, bekwame en getalenteerde muzikante Mhairi Hall. Mhairi Hall (harmonium, piano, dwarsfluit en fluit), Megan Henderson (viool en zang), Ali Hutton (bodhran, gitaar, fluit, grote highland doedelzak), Rachel Newton (clarsach, elektrische harp en zang).
