This album has been organized to raise money and awareness of the amazing work done by veterans nonprofits. The CD sales went to Guitars4Vets. Now, with the support of the contributing artists, New Folk has decided to release the album on purple vinyl. Vinyl sales are going to Purple Heart Homes. Proceeds received by New Folk will go directly to them for their work. All the artists on the CD donated their songs to the project to help make sure as much money as possible is raised. The album includes songs by Rockie Lynne, Geoff Levee, The Orphan Brigade, Mike Nolan, Beyond the Badlands, Joshua Ray Hudson, Todd Menton, The Charlie Daniels Band, John Schneider, and Doyle Dykes. The songs include original songs as well as traditional songs and themes include not only the more current conflicts but the Civil War and World War 1. There are instrumental tracks. bluegrass tracks, country and Americana tracks performed by unsigned as well as the signed artists listed.
