Marking 50 years since its original release, Stones Throw Records' reissue of Haruomi Hosono's 1975 album 'Tropical Dandy' is the first edition of this record to be released outside of Japan. 'Tropical Dandy' is the cult classic album that marked Hosono's shift toward genre-blending, fusing exotica, jazz, and pop to lay the groundwork for Japanese city pop.
