A no-BS guide to building habits, confidence, and experiencing freedom that lasts far beyond the scale.

Breaking the Script is a raw, inspiring, and practical guide for every woman who knows she was made for more than staying stuck.

For years, Alex Ochoa believed the lies that intentional weight loss was toxic, that “food freedom” meant eating whatever you wanted, and that self-love meant never changing. But after years of fad diets, emotional eating, and pressure from the fat acceptance community, she realized that staying the same wasn’t love—it was giving up. Determined to take her life back, Alex lost 130 pounds, healed her relationship with food, and discovered a new kind of freedom.

Within these pages, Alex utilizes personal narrative to explain the strategies that helped her succeed. Readers will learn how to break free from toxic narratives about body image and diet culture, build confidence through health and self-expression, and create habits that last. Most importantly, they will discover the mindset shifts that make lasting transformation possible.

This isn’t another fad diet book. It’s an honest, hopeful, and empowering manifesto for every woman ready to reclaim her health, her confidence, and her future.
