DESCRIPTION
Text in Arabic. A historical novel that tells the journey of the famous Ottoman fleet commander, Khair al-Din Barbarossa, who fought, conquered, battled and won the victory for the Muslims in the Western countries, along with his brother, Commander Aruj Barbarossa. Khair al-Din Barbarossa reputation spread among the East and West, and his naval victories established Ottoman dominance over the Mediterranean in the mid-sixteenth century. The novel does not only present us with the Seas Amir heroisms, but rather explores his life's incidients with its sweetness and bitterness, ups and downs, revealing its spiritual features, shedding light on his wide knowledge, culture, and his compliance to Allah's Holly Book, the Prophet's hadiths (?), and the sayings of companions and scholars. The novel brings us closer to the brave cadet Khidr Reis, and how he later became Admiral Khair al-Din Pasha, after an exhausting marine life that he went through, until his death.
