Songren Cui obtained his Ph.D. from UCLA in 1992. His research interests include language proficiency and testing, teaching methodology and learning strategies, pedagogical grammar and discourse grammar. He has been an assistant professor of the Asian Studies Program of Bowdoin College since 1999.
