The route follows the Altmühl through a varied landscape: beech forests, bizarre rocks and wide Jura mountains determine the landscape. Looped paths that, designed as circular paths, always lead back to the actual hiking trail lead to special sights. The leporello fold allows the route to be broken down into twenty-one sections with additional information about the region.
