English summary: In late antiquity, numerous texts were written in which authors focused on themselves, their own lives and the development of their own egos. These texts on the personal ego are not to be taken as an empirical documentation of real life, but rather as an instrument of reflection. In this way the writer as the subject can create and design himself in a text by means of his literary activity. The methods of literary self-construction available to a poet and their classification within the scope of late antique poetics and genre theory are illustrated through comparison of selected autobiographical poems by Ausonius, Paulinus of Nola and Paulinus of Pella. This study mainly addresses questions concerning the narrative construction of a vita, questions on an authorization for writing about one's own ego and on a poet's self-positioning within the social space. Between pagan literary tradition and the Christian discourse on identity, writing about one's own ego turns out to serve as a means of explaining the self and the world, of overcoming crises in times of political and religious change, and finally of claiming poetic authority. German description: In der Spatantike entstehen zahlreiche Texte, in denen Autoren sich selbst, ihr Leben und die eigene Ich-Werdung zum Thema machen. Diese Texte uber das eigene 'Ich' sind jedoch nicht als Abbildungen empirisch erfassbarer Lebenswirklichkeit zu verstehen, sondern vielmehr als Reflexionsinstanzen. So kann ein schreibendes Subjekt sich selbst durch die literarische Tatigkeit im Text hervorbringen und nach seinem eigenen Selbst-Verstandnis gestalten. Welche Verfahren der literarischen Selbst-Konstruktion einem Dichter zur Verfugung stehen und wie diese im Rahmen spatantiker Poetik und Gattungslehre einzuordnen sind, wird an ausgewahlten autobiographischen Gedichten des Ausonius, Paulinus von Nola und Paulinus von Pella vergleichend aufgezeigt. Fragen nach der narrativen Gestaltung von Lebenslaufen, der Autorisierung zum Dichten uber das eigene 'Ich' und der Selbst-Positionierung eines Dichters im sozialen Raum stehen im Zentrum der Studie. Im Spannungsfeld zwischen paganer Literaturtradition und christlichen Identitatsdiskursen erweist sich das Schreiben uber das eigene 'Ich' als Mittel der Selbst- und Welterklarung, der Krisenbewaltigung in einer Zeit politischer wie religioser Umbruche und schliesslich als Instrument zur Erschaffung poetischer Autoritat.
