A collection of short poems in a pocket-sized leporello book. David Horvitz's poems gently invite readers to connect deeply with nature, drawing inspiration from the majestic Alpine landscape. Phrases such as ‘Imagine the voice of someone who is no longer alive’ or ‘Call to a crow until a crow calls back to you’ invite readers to engage in a contemplative experience that bridges the natural and the poetic. The collection of poems in English and French was originally written for the Biennale Son in Sion, Switzerland. The book is designed by Valaisan artist Romain lannone and published in collaboration with Biennale Son and Kapa Books. David Horvitz is an American artist whose work is categorised as ‘post-fluxus’ and conceptual art. It includes artist books, installation, performance art and mail art. Edition Taube has already published other books by David Horvitz, including ‘Rain’, ‘Nostalgia’ and ‘How to Shoplift Books’, which has been translated into more than 35 languages.
