English summary: We lack trainee teachers now and in the future. Every student teacher knows that. The last part of the training, however, is often difficult. Not necessarily the group of heterogenous pupils are the biggest challenge for trainee teachers, but the rules and regulations of the training. Bad conditions and constant stress on their way to become teachers let many fail. Karin Brose, working for 35 years as a secondary school teacher at a secondary modern school (Haupt- and Realschule), describes the experiences of trainee and young teachers working in different school types and federal states to encourage the newcomers.
