‘Amélie and ChocolateÉclairs’ tells the story of a grieving mother whose life changes whenshe crosses paths with Jamal, an orphaned child hiding in a refugee camp innorthern France.

Amélie is a mother who, after eighteen years, is still grievingthe loss of two of her children through tragic accidents.

Jamal is a terrified nine-year old boy forced to flee hiscountry when his entire family is killed during a murderous civil war. Now, hehides in a makeshift camp in northern France with Sultana, a woman he met whilerunning away, and Aisha another orphaned child.

Fate and an uncompromising bureaucracy means they will needmore than luck to bring them together – and luck is in very short supply.
