Now settled in Crieff with his wife Annie, Bob Kelty is busy preparing for the Rover Scout Moot, which will see thousands of Rover Scouts from all over the world pitch tents on the Monzie Estate in Perthshire. Bob Keltydiscovers a dead body in a burnt-out tent on the edge of the camp. He isimmediately suspicious but for some reason the authorities seem reluctant tobecome involved. Morestrange things begin to happen and Bob's suspicions increase. And if theauthorities won't look into them, Bob decides he must. Moot is anovel of manipulation and trickery, murder and conspiracy. Unwittingly, Bobgets drawn deeper and deeper into events he does not understand and cannotcontrol, events which reach to the highest areas of government.
