Wedding bells are ringing, and Inés Valeztena and Cárcel Escalante are finally married. Inés is a shockingly radiant bride, and the nobles who once scorned her now see her in a different light – including Cárcel, who feels unsettled by all the attention on his dazzling new wife. But on the inside, Inés remains determined to ultimately unravel this marriage and gain the freedom she could never obtain in her previous lives.

The newlyweds begin their life together in Calztela, where Cárcel is on military duty. The quaint coastal city may seem like a perfect honeymoon destination, but it also holds haunting memories from Inés’s prior life. As she works to untangle herself from the past and keep in motion her meticulous plans for the future, Inés finds that Cárcel might make things more difficult than she expected.
