Yet if we pray penitently for the promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit and preach the Gospel faithfully, we shall escape hurt, and receive intimations of the long summer of coming millennial peace. Self-preservation may deter nuclear conflict but only faith understands the problem, offering redemption and spiritual renewal.
