Megan Rhys is due at a police conference on sex offenders - not a particularly nice subject, but at least it'll get her out of the office, where she can spend a few days at her grandmother's cottage in Borth. It turns out not to be quite the kind of break she was anticipating when a body turns up, miraculously preserved, in the bog behind the golf course. Is the mutilated bogman an ancient or modern relic of man's murderous instinct? Only time and the pathologits will tell, but not before Megan's forensic skills and her unerring gut instinct are tested to the limit.
