After Adam McKenzie is coerced into becoming Chairman of the management committee he has to juggle the finances, garden contracts, roof repairs and cantankerous neighbours while Nicola McKenzie is focused on making new friends, refurbishing their outdated apartment and helping Adam keep the peace between recalcitrant individuals who make up the eclectic mix of folk at Battlefields House.
