At twenty-something, Sophia spends six weeks in a psychiatric hospital. Spectrum of Colours follows her story as to how she ended up there. Despite her dreams of a life onstage, Sophia's lifelong struggles are caused by a complexity of issues involving identity, conformity and difficulties forming friendships. But ultimately, it's Sophia's struggle to overcome a traumatic childhood event which took place on a South London council estate where she grew up in 1980s - the disappearance of her best friend Lauren - which is the catalyst to her declination. She has enjoyed a career on stage as an actress and singer for over thirty years, performing in prolific West End productions such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Novello Theatre; The Big Life at Apollo Theatre and Theatre Royal Stratford East; RENT at Shaftesbury Theatre; the original cast of Miss Saigon at Theatre Royal Drury Lane; and The Phlebotomist at Hampstead Theatre (2019). Claudia has also performed in notable productions at the National Theatre, London. Claudia's television guest appearances include ITV's Coronation Street and Emmerdale, and BBC's Doctors and Holby City. Claudia graduated with a BA (hons) Degree in Social, Cultural & Creative Processes from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2006. She then qualified as a Primary Teacher in 2007 and she has taught in many primary schools in both London and Kent.
