Rival necromancer classmates Halen Kilchoir and Alastair Faulton must fight side by side against eldritch creatures in a grand gladiatorial-style arena to gain acceptance into an elite university together-and battle their own dangerous feelings for each other.

At the elite college of St Penderghast's, gravers and spirers train to perfect their skills in the hunt for glory.
