A novel which explores the relationship between two characters who initially meet at university and then go their separate ways, but whose lives keep intersecting over the course of a decade.

London, 1989. Thatcher is on her way out and Anna has just moved to the big city, full of plans and dreams for the future. When she meets Dan, the sparks fly and they become instant lovers, yet they never publicly acknowledge their relationship and eventually drift apart.

As the years pass - New Labour is voted in and BritPop and BritArt make Britannia cool again – chance encounters keep Dan and Anna criss-crossing each other’s lives, until one day, something unexpected happens that will change both of their futures for ever.
