Retired couple, Teddy and Jo Jensen, decide to buy a holiday home in Fuengirola, Spain where they accidentally get caught up with some drug dealers. They mistake Jo for someone they warned to leave High Vista and attempt to kill her by throwing her over a cliff, but she survives.

The whole ordeal is too much to handle so Teddy decides to take her far away on a world tour to help her forget.

The story takes them to France and across America, where they run into trouble again.
