Little Spruce is a magical, inclusive picture book about a tiny tree who dreams of being chosen as a Christmas tree. One day a family does just that, but after Christmas Little Spruce is mistakenly taken away with the rubbish. Will Little Spruce be able to escape the woodchipper and get home to his family? And what place is there for a Christmas tree once the tinsel comes down anyway?

Little Spruce centres a blended family and a secular Christmas celebration, with a community of diverse characters and subtle themes of sustainability. Think Han’s Christian Andersen’s The Fir Tree with a modern setting and a happy ending!
