The African Queen

In German occupied Tanzania on the eve of World War I, soldiers are rounding up indigenous communities. The indomitable Rose Sayer, spurred into action by the death of her brother, is determined to fight back.

Enlisting the help of hard-bitten skipper and drunk, Charlie Allnutt, she hitches a ride on his rickety steamboat, the African Queen. Together the odd couple set off downriver to do their part for the war effort, embarking on a thrilling and reckless adventure.

Later adapted into the classic Hollywood film starring Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, The African Queen is one of the greatest adventure stories of all time, filled with excitement, intrigue and an unlikely romance.
