The war between the forces of Vega and Grendizer is but a distant memory. After Duke and Maria returned to the planet Fleed, Hikaru and Koji struggle to lead a normal life without the need for war.

But Peace cannot last forever. From the confines of space, the Ruin Division emerges with the most powerful Saucer Beast: the Hydragon.

An explosive attack in Tokyo descends on the planet - the Hydragon ays waste to Earth's military, whilst the last representatives of Vega demand all of Japan to evacuate within seven days or else face annihilation.

Under siege and without any other choice, Duke must join the fight and reawaken the mighty robot Grendizer or risk losing his new family, friends, and the world he sought so hard to protect from the same terror that ravaged his old one.
