Ayahuasca is the shamanic medicine of the Amazonian rainforest and has been used by shamans for millennia to induce visionary states wherein they astrally travel to other locations, see the future or carry out healings for others. It is increasingly used in the West and is perhaps the best known of shamanic plant teachers.
