“Nuanced and touching.”—Kirkus Reviews, STARRED

For kids ages 4-8 comes a charming picture book that chronicles the many wonderful—and not-so-wonderful—things that happen throughout the year as the seasons change.

When this story ends, it will begin again. That’s how it works!

As the seasons pass by for a little mouse family, some things stay the same, while others are changing and growing. From reading under blankets in the winter and bike rides in the spring, to ice cream treats in the summer, All Around a Year captures the essence of each season and all of the changes happening around us, from small to big!

Through bold and expressive artwork, featuring charming and diverse characters, young readers are invited to reflect on the cyclical nature of the year and their own growth within it.

A wonderful reminder of all of the things to look forward to and challenges we embrace along the way, this humorous book written and illustrated by the internationally renowned Mariana Ruiz Johnson, celebrates the many things to look forward to that happen year after year and all of the amazing changes that are part of growing up.
