This book, which promotes the rights and protection of LGTBQI community, is a collection that historically, metaphorically and physically spans the city of Cape Town.

The chapters consist of narratives of lived experiences and academic discussions, presented by both novice and experienced scholars. The book revolves around four themes: education, emancipation, protection, acceptance and integration of LGBTQI people in society.
