Many years ago, Mavis Vermilion was a servant at the Red Lizard wizard guild on Sirius Island. Mistreated by the guild master and his daughter Zera, Mavis nonetheless stays positive, because her mother once told her that fairies never visit people who cry about their problems. When the guild comes under attack, Mavis pulls Zera from the wreckage into the forest, but Zera dies from her injuries. Seven years later, the powerful wizards Warrod Sequen, Precht and Yuri Dreyer arrive on the island, seeking a powerful jade gemstone.
