This beautifully illustrated volume presents in-depth profiles of a diverse range of 101 artists, from Tala Madani and Shirin Neshat to Farideh Lashai and Marjane Satrapi. Stunning artwork reproductions and informative bios for each artist are supplemented by introductory texts by top critics, artists, collectors, and activists.

Curated by Mohammed Afkhami – a renowned collector of contemporary Iranian art – in consultation with a team of expert curators, scholars and critics, the book’s featured artists and works reveal the remarkable creativity of today’s Iranian women artists. The book is itself an exquisite object, featuring a bespoke work on its cover created by artist Afruz Amighi.
