Ten countries of Central and South America and Spanish Caribbean are dealt with in separate chapters. Comic art forms/media that are subjects of chapters are animation, caricature, comic books, comic strips, humor magazines, and political cartoons. Approaches include historical and character analyses. Authors of chapters represent some of the most knowledgeable individuals in Latin American comic art.
