Suddenly, Calla’s entire future is gone. Without her parents paying, she won’t go to the all-women’s college that accepted her. She won’t play on the field hockey team. She won’t share a dorm room with Mona. But maybe that’s okay. Lately, all Calla wants is to disappear.

Then Calla and Mona stumble upon a mysterious house in the woods, where they meet five other teenagers. These teens have lived in the house for decades without ever aging. They call themselves by different words—inverts, degenerates, homosexuals—and come from all different time periods. But something in them calls to something in Calla. And each of them found the Forever House when they most needed a safe place to hide from a world that didn’t understand them.
