Yana hunts monsters. Anka might be one. They'll need each other to survive.

Yana, a purported vampire hunter, rides into Koprivci promising to break its curse. Since birth, Anka has shouldered blame for the village’s misfortunes. After a lifetime of suspicion, she seems destined for an odious marriage that she would do anything to escape.

When animal corpses appear in the square and eggs hatch filled with blood, panic rises and Yana and Anka become unlikely allies. In the dark, everybody fears something. And monsters take many forms.
