Aidan Jones never expected to move to Paris. In fact, he's never been outside Connecticut. But when his distant grandfather passes away, he finds himself the new owner of L'Arôme - a French fine-dining restaurant that was his grandfather's pride and joy. Fresh out of a break-up and with nothing to lose, Aidan seizes the opportunity to become head chef at L'Arôme. After all, he's run a pizza parlour before. how hard can it be to run a restaurant?

Celine Laurent has been biding her time. Young, ambitious and top of her class at culinary school, she's spent five years working her way up at L'Arôme with the goal of becoming head chef by thirty. So when Aidan arrives, Celine can't believe it. What can an American possibly know about French cuisine?

Like water and oil, these two don't mix. But when a new food critic in town comes calling, they must work together to put L'Arôme on the map. With the coveted Prix de Saveur award up for grabs, they vow to put their differences aside.
