The Woman With No Shadow

Set against the glamourous backdrop of 1950s Long Island, a newly married young woman becomes obsessed with her husband's first wife in this gripping historical thriller.

Sometimes, marriage is the best place to hide a secret

When young Londoner Cleo Clark impetuously agrees to marry wealthy American widower, Lewis Martindale III, she finds herself transported to his mansion on Long Island's Gold Coast. Thrust into New York's glittering high society, Cleo becomes increasingly obsessed with the figure of Lewis's first wife, Romilly, a glamorous actress whose untimely death devastated her husband.

It is 1953, a time of international high drama, espionage trials and political flux. WW2 still casts a long shadow. Over the course of a stifling Long Island summer, Cleo makes a shocking discovery about the wife who went before. As her obsession grows, she begins to question the facts of Romilly's life and her death. But will the dangerous truth destroy Cleo too?
