Back to the Father

Finding Home for Your Wandering Heart

Come Home: Rediscovering the God Who Never Stopped Looking for You

What if the deepest ache in your life isn’t failure, doubt, or disillusionment—but distance from home?

Back to the Father by Caleb Davison is a compelling, hope-filled invitation to rediscover the relational heart of God through one of Jesus’ most beloved stories: the parable of the prodigal son. With pastoral warmth and theological depth, Davison reframes this familiar passage as the “Fatherly Gospel,” revealing a God who relentlessly pursues His children—not with condemnation, but with compassion.

Written for the weary, the disenchanted, and the spiritually restless, this book speaks honestly to those who feel far from God, stuck in dead religion, or unsure how they ended up wandering in the first place. Through rich storytelling and Scripture woven from Genesis to Revelation, readers are guided on a journey away from self-reliance and back into the arms of a loving Father.

In this book, you’ll discover:

• A fresh, relational vision of God as a present and pursuing Father
• Why running from God never satisfies the human heart
• How grace—not striving—brings true spiritual renewal
• Why Christianity is primarily about rebirth, not religion
• An invitation to come home, no matter how far you’ve wandered

This is not a book about trying harder. It’s about coming home.
