Some crimes can never be forgiven-or atoned for . Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis must find a missing reporter before time runs out.

Sent to the island of Naxos on assignment, Athenian journalist Nikoletta Elia is surprised to be approached by a man claiming to be responsible for several suspicious deaths she'd reported on in the past. The assassin convinces Nikoletta to write about him and his murderous exploits for hire-but then she disappears .

Her editor calls on Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis of Greece's Special Crimes Division to find her. But just when Kaldis has sent his deputy, Yianni Kouros, to investigate her disappearance, an unidentified body is found at the base of a cliff. Who is the mysterious corpse, and where is Nikoletta?

Leads turn into more dead bodies, and soon Kaldis and his squad find themselves in the path of a ruthless killer who'll stop at nothing to keep dark secrets buried-forever.

With its gorgeous Greek locations, engaging characters, and fast-paced plotting, this critically acclaimed international crime series is an excellent pick for fans of DONNA LEON, LOUISE PENNY, MARTIN WALKER, and DAVID HEWSON. Find out why The New York Times named Jeffrey Siger as Greece's thriller novelist of record today!
